welcome
Sarah Wiseman (idyllthinking) is an artist/crafter born and raised in the midwest. After graduating high school, they moved to Illinois and spent a year studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sarah returned to Kansas in the spring of 2020. With a year of creative foundation work under her belt and a newfound reverence for the country life they grew up in, Sarah started creating work within the contemporary and the vintage. Utilizing painting, drawing, textiles, and craft, they explore the quaint complexities of rural living and reflects on their own experiences within that environment. Other themes include nature, music, poetry, family, and much more.
Outside of their artistic practice, Sarah can be found hard at work in her local garden center or at the ceramics shop. She has been known to frequent tattoo shops, antique malls, and any local parks or wildlife reserves. Otherwise, they enjoy spending time at home with their friends, houseplants, and cat Ziggy.
